TawjihYou

An ed-tech platform concept designed to bridge the gap between Moroccan students and structured academic guidance — providing orientation, mentorship, and career pathways.

The Problem

Morocco's graduates have knowledge but lack structured pathways to apply it. Students navigate academic and career decisions without access to mentors, frameworks, or peer-support systems. TawjihYou was conceived to solve this gap.

The Concept

A digital platform connecting students with mentors, providing structured orientation tools, and creating a community of peers navigating similar transitions. The model combined content (guides, frameworks) with connection (mentorship matching, peer groups).

Lessons Learned

TawjihYou taught critical lessons about team management, project scoping, and the importance of validating assumptions before building. These lessons directly informed the approach to Vanguard-Community and Vertex — both of which prioritized governance and community-first design.

Team Management
Learned the importance of clear roles, accountability, and shared vision in early-stage teams.
Project Scoping
Discovered the danger of over-scoping — the best ventures start narrow and expand from proven demand.
Pitching
Presenting to a foreign jury in English sharpened communication skills and cross-cultural pitching ability.
Networking
Built relationships with mentors and peers that continue to support current ventures.
Professional Relevance
What this venture proves I can do
Market Research
Validated demand among university students — proves I can identify and assess market opportunities systematically.
Cross-Cultural Communication
Pitching to a foreign jury in English demonstrates the ability to operate in international business environments.
Business Planning
Complete BMC and revenue model — proves I can structure a business case from concept to financial projection.
Learning from Failure
Pausing TawjihYou taught me to redirect resources strategically — a maturity that distinguishes experienced professionals.
