Facilitated a workshop for 50 participants addressing hate speech — originally planned for 2 hours, the session was extended to 4 hours due to engagement. Created 8 slogans and 12 prototypes to solve the hate speech problem with 6 theater pieces and roleplays. Session doubled from planned 2 hours due to participants activeness and enjoyment.
Addressing hate speech among 50 young participants with only a 2-hour window. The topic is sensitive, participants have varying levels of awareness, and meaningful behavioral change requires more than a lecture format.
Applied Design Thinking methodology combined with the Iceberg model (to surface root causes beneath visible behaviors), empathy mapping (to build understanding of affected groups), and Harvard-based Counterspeech methodology (to develop constructive responses to hate speech). The session was designed as an interactive workshop, not a presentation.
